 T he American system of democracy is still very much an experiment democracy  has been somewhat discredited  that system it is the most successful  democratic system the world has has i  think ever seen i experienced the  American dream there's no other country.    I n the world that i could create from nothing where i am today this isn't the land of the free that hasn't been the experience of many people there is a an existential threat in the world right now we're facing one of the great ideological battles of our time global democracy really depends on a strong american democracy way that democracies died today is not the way it died 50 or 60 years ago we usually think of a violent takeover seizure of power today the dominant way in which democracies die is much more subtle really populous rise to power through election it's not easy democracy is hard we have to fight for it every day we have to pay attention we have to take a stand we cannot ...
